Downey's Take
Brent down $0.34 (-0.3%) to $101.91 and WTI down $0.91 (-1.0%) to $90.20. Three things happened in oil over the weekend:

*1. Houthi strikes on Aramco sites briefly lifted prices by almost $1 early Sunday. Yemen saying they will respond.
*2. Saudi Aramco at 6pm ET Sunday announced monthly OSP. The substance: November Arab Light crude to Asia set at a $5-a-barrel discount to Oman/Dubai, down $3 from October and the widest discount since June 2020, against surveys that had looked for a rise of up to $5. Clear sign Hormuz flows are back and Asian demand is softer than feared so Saudi is have to offer bigger discounts. Market sold off $2 Sunday from its $1 Houthi rally high on the Aramco pricing.
*3. OPEC+ non event online meeting Sunday with quotas unchanged at 31mb/d as expected.

Isobutane up $0.085 (+5.4%) and N-Butane up $0.060 (+4.2%), both on stronger petrochemical demand.
Platinum up $49 (+2.9%), Silver up $1.66 (+2.8%) all on softer US jobs data and lower rate-hike odds supporting precious metals.
Coffee up $7.3 (+2.5%) on Brazil drought and weather concerns for the next crop.

Kicker: Saxo recommends long gold on resilient official-sector buying and positioning lows despite high yields (Saxo Bank, Oct 2).
