European gas pauses surge as storage stays depleted
TTF eased slightly Tuesday after hitting fresh highs near €97.64/MWh Monday on Norwegian supply cuts at Oseberg field escalating to 12.7 mcm/day. EU storage at 74.6% capacity marks the lowest late-October level since 2009 records began, well below the 86% historical average, anchoring a structural floor despite the pause. Depleted buffers and ongoing LNG supply disruptions from Middle East tensions sustain bullish pressure heading into winter.
