TTF tops €100/MWh on LNG shortage fears
The Dutch TTF front-month contract crossed €100/MWh on October 28, up 3% that day and 38% since early October. Traders cite fears of winter LNG shortages from Strait of Hormuz disruptions that have throttled Qatari and other Middle East flows. Asian JKM also sits near four-year highs around $30/MMBtu as buyers compete for cargoes.

EU storage at 75% lags historical averages
ACER reports EU underground storage at 75% full as of October 21, below historical levels after a slow summer refill hampered by high prices and Middle East LNG disruptions. US LNG now supplies 30% of EU gas while Qatari volumes were negligible; the higher refill cost reached an upper bound of €27 billion. This low buffer supports the TTF rally as winter demand approaches.
